Casino Table Games
Online Table Games
It’s true that we have a lot of online slots here at Wombat Casino, but we also have quite a few table games as well, for those of you who like a flutter on the roulette or blackjack with plenty of options like American Roulette, Multiple Wheel Roulette and Blackjack Pro.
We have live casino table games and virtual table games. The difference is that with live games like live roulette, the action is beamed from an actual casino or casino studio and you bet while playing on a physical wheel. You watch through a webcam, or a series of webcams, and make your bets in the normal way. You can test your favourite roulette systems on either type of game.
Virtual table games are more like video slots in that the game is a computer game which perfectly simulates the odds that you would get on a real table.
Which is better? Well, that depends. The action is always faster on virtual table games- in fact you can often speed it right up if you select turbo mode. And these days, the 3D virtual simulations of the games are really smooth and entertaining.
However, if you want an experience that is as close as possible to a land-based casino, then live casino games are your best bet. With multiple camera angles and the ability to chat to the dealer and other players, it’s a close as you can get to playing in a casino without actually being there.
As well as plenty of online roulette and blackjack variants, we have online baccarat and live baccarat here at Wombat Casino.
If you have ever been to Macau, you’ll have come across baccarat- it’s probably the most popular game in the former Portuguese colony which is now part of China (along with Sic Bo).
The reason behind that, is that it is an easy and fast card game to play and it offers great player odds- the house edge is not that different to some variants of blackjack, and that’s assuming you play the perfect strategy on what is a more complex card game.
In online baccarat, there are 2 hands dealt- one to the player and one to the banker of up to 3 cards. However, unlike blackjack, you can bet on either the player or the banker. You can also bet on a tie which pays 8:1.
The winner of the game is the player (either the player or the banker) with a score that’s closest or equal to 9. If you both hands get the same score it’s a tie.
The scoring of the cards is as follows:
10 and face cards=0.
If you get a score of 14, then the first 1 is knocked off and it becomes 4. That’s pretty much it!
So why is it so popular? Well, it’s fast and simple to play. High Rollers love it because they can bet big, win fast, and get out quickly.
Other Table Games
As well as blackjack, roulette and blackjack, you’ll find a few more unusual games in the Table Games section such as Sharp Shooter and Odd One In.
Sharp Shooter is a fast dice game with 3 dice. First of all, make your bet, and he croupier will throw. You then have 3 throws to match the dealer’s dice.
Any matching numbers “shoot down” the dealers dice, you get three chances to match the dealers throw.
If you match the roll on the first roll, you get paid out at 8:1. If one of your dice matches one of the dealer’s dice, the dice explodes and goes faint- you have shot one down. Sharp Shooter pays 7:5 on the second roll, and 1:2 on the third roll.
You’ll also find Odd One In if you are in the Table Games section, which is an easy to learn fixed-odds card game played with a standard deck.
You bet on an odd number when 2 cards are dealt, but there are lots of extra bets on colour and ranges of numbers. It’s kind of like roulette, but with cards.
