20p Roulette sounds like a game for a marsupial like me. Most wombats like to slip on a dinner jacket/tux from time to time and hit the tables.
And when a game comes with a price tag this affordable, you really have to take it for a quick spin…
20p Game Stats
20p Roulette is a simple European Roulette game launched by Inspired Gaming in July 2015. It plays very well on smaller screens and has a minimum bet of 1.00 with 25p or 25c chips.
The Return to Player on this game (RTP) is 97.3%.
Fire up this release, and you’ll notice it looks a lot like the 20p shot slot when you see the game logo. It’s part of the same range from Inspired Gaming – but that’s where the similarity ends.
Inspired Gaming have created a straightforward roulette game with a wager that’s a dream. And, this is one of those rare games that make a nifty bridge for slot fans to cross into a different gaming world. In this case, the world of roulette.
Let’s take a look at what this game has to offer…
Look and Feel
Thankfully, 20p Roulette’s bet table is set against the green baize and it is laid out to make an easy-to-use set up.
Inspired Gaming has done all of their homework by designing a game that is as easy for a new roulette player, as it is for a more experienced hand to navigate. This is one of our smartest looking table games along with Switch Studios European Blackjack and 3D roulette.
Nowadays we’ve come to expect razor sharp 3D graphics with all the latest bells and whistles in bonuses. This roulette game is simple, well put together and very easy to use, so expect a game that comes with good solid graphics rather than a head turner.
There are also some realistic sound effects that will accompany your gaming. This 20p Roulette game is a slick number where you’ll hear the ball rolling around the roulette wheel, betting prompts, and announced wins thanks to the croupier voice. This voice is a useful little aid for new roulette players.
20p Roulette Game Play
This roulette game is based on the European Roulette variant of the game where attractively the house edge is lower than the American version.
You’ll see this variant on our Switch Studios Roulette game as well. A lower house edge means more chance for the player to make the most of their bets.
European Roulette is better odds for the player compared to the US version of the “King of Table games”.
Ways To Bet
New to the world of Roulette? Or just need a quick refresher before you play 20p roulette? There are 2 ways to wager – with inside and outside bets. And here they are explained:
These are wagers placed on specific numbers on the green table
This is a bet placed on one single number. All you need to do it stick your chip of choice on the number you want to wager on, and you’re good to go.
Can’t make up your mind on what to bet on when you play 20p Roulette online? This bet’s for you. It’s made up of a wager placed on 2 numbers that next to each other. Just place your chip on the line between the two. Easy.
This wager is a bet on 4 numbers. Pop your chip on the corner between any 4 numbers where all the numbers meet. It’s a good way to hedge your bets!
You can bet on a row of 3 numbers if the fancy takes you. Place your chip at the top of one of the 12 rows on the roulette table, or on the corner of the numbers 0, 1, 2 or 0, 2, 3.
This awesome little wager is made up of a bet on 6 numbers formed of 2 rows of 3. You can place a six-line bet by sticking your chip at the beginning of the line that separates the 2 rows. It’s that simple, wombat fans.
These cheeky wagers are placed on parts of the table making up groups of numbers. They come with lower pay-out, but more frequent payouts – a bit like a low variance slot!
This is a bet on 12 numbers in a one column. Put your chip (or chips) on one of the areas next to the 3 columns.
Place a dozen wager and you’ll be betting on 12 numbers that are made up of 4 rows of 3 numbers. Stick your chips on the, 1st 12, 2nd 12 or 3rd 12 – they are marked clearly on the green baize.
Yup, you guessed it! This bet is comprised of a wager on all the black numbers or all the red numbers. Which means you have a 50/50 chance of scooping a win. Just place your chip on the red or black area at the front of the table.
It’s another straightforward bet wombat fans. Here you can bet on either all the even numbers or all the odd numbers on the table.
You can also bet on the first 18 numbers (excluding 0) or the last 18. Add your lucky chip on the table in the area marked 1-18 or 19-36.
20p roulette might be a simple, fast roulette game, but you can still make the main Call Bets like Voisins du Zero and Tiers du Cylindre on the Neighbour Bets racetrack. Just hit the Neighbour Bet button to bring up the Call Bets betting table.
There is an option to speed things up once you have hit the “BET” button and the ball starts spinning around the wheel by hitting “TURBO SPIN”. This will immediately bring the white ball to a rest on the wheel.
You can also click the “Speedometer” icon in Options which will set you on Turbo Spin mode permanently.
Watch the Action
When you’ve chosen your numbers and placed your bet, you’ll be taken to the easy to read roulette wheel. This has a bird’s eye view of events where you’ll be able to watch the white ball race around the wheel and land in the numbered pockets. Just to keep your play on the speedy side, there’s a miniature version of the bet table to the right of the table so you to check your previous bets and see where you’ve got to.
20p Roulette is a game that has thought of everything, so it would seem.
Here´s one from our 20p Roulette Tips and Tricks box: you´ll notice that below the bet table are a number of key buttons that include the bet limits, a Neighbours Bet option (which switches the view to a racetrack) and Repeat Bets. If you want to be terribly European, you can place bets on groups of numbers using the racetrack options. Or click on Repeat Bets to lay to the same wager again.
There are no prizes for guessing that bets in this game start with a very modest 20 pence or cents coin and a 1.00 bet minimum (the clue’s in the title Wombat fans).
This very low wager limit when you play 20p roulette means that novice players can be more cautious and have the chance to explore the game before upping the ante. That said, the bet range is very broad, and if you’re a rock n roll high stakes player, you’ll also be able to place some chunkier wagers… These include a hair-curling 10,000.00 for an outside bet or a single number stake that will set you back 1,000.00
More from our 20p Roulette Tips and Tricks box: for those gamers among you who fancy upping the tempo of their game play, this game also comes with a Turbo Spins mode. Prepare to hold onto your horses (and your hats), as the action can get super speedy!
