The wombat says: The Forgotten Land of Lemuria slot from Microgaming is based on the magical land, that is lost in the mists of time.
Yes, Lemuria was an ancient civilisation that existed somewhere in the South Pacific, between North America and Oz before it sunk into the ocean, a bit like Atlantis. We’ve got the Legend of Olympus slot machine here at Wombat Casino, we got your Nordic legends and we’ve covered your watery ones too!
Legend has it that the Lemurians were both highly evolved and a very spiritual bunch – and you can’t get more spiritual than slots, which must be why Microgaming chose to base a game on them, ha ha! Let’s unearth the magical realm and see what lies beneath… Hopefully it’ll be some large cash prizes.
Look and Feel
It’s a nice-looking slot this one. Your reels are set against a background of shimmering waterfalls, and floating castles that stretch off into the misty distance – all served up with a laid-back mystical soundtrack. Very relaxing indeed- it’s all a long way from the likes of the Wasabi San slot and some of the other bright games we have on Wombat Casino.
The Forgotten Land of Lemuria slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and best of all it’s a ‘243 Ways To Win’ game. But what does that actually mean? Well, instead of having, say 50 pay-lines like the Great Griffin slot – as long as the symbols match up adjacently from left to right on the reels then you have a winning combination. Excellent news!
The mystical symbols on your reels include a delicate white lotus flower, a luminous crystal skull and some glowing green crystals, plus your standard 9, 10, J, Q, K and A playing cards that make up your lower paying symbols.
Then there’s the game’s 2 bonus symbols; the elemental symbol is Wild in the game and will substitute for all other symbols on the reels to help make up your winning combos. Then there’s the Queen of Lemuria’s green eye which acts as the Scatter and will set off the bonus game.
Land of Lemuria Elemental Bonus
Land 3x or more of the Eye Scatters and you’ll unlock the Elemental Treasure Vault, Wombat Fans! There are 3 Treasure Vaults available; Earth, Water and Fire and in each one you’ll get the chance to scoop cash prizes. You’ll start off in the Water vault, progress to the Earth vault and then finish the round in the Fire vault. You’ll get to choose from 10 orbs one at a time in each stage, that reveal some hidden chunky coin values, but if you uncover an arrow it’s the end of the round, and you must move onto the next vault.
Well, aside from the stylish graphics, this wombat wasn’t expecting that much from The Forgotten and of Lemuria slot – but how wrong we were! We managed to set off the bonus feature 3 times in 15 minutes which put a smile all over our chops! Winning 7500 coins during the second one! And talking of bonuses, although we loved the Treasure Vault but we really would have liked some Free Spins, too. Still, maybe that’s just greedy, and as the Stones famously said ‘You can’t always get what you want’. Enter the mystical land and see if you can’t win big, too!
