The Wombat says: Welcome to the crazy world of the Reactoonz slot. This intergalactic-themed game from Play’n GO comes with seven bonuses and a whole load of crazy base game features. But then these are the guys and gals behind the Honey Rush slot so that doesn’t surprise us.
Venture with us into outer space for galaxy-sized wins. Who said aliens were scary? These aren´t your hiding in your stomach and then coming out later variety. They´re a friendlier bunch.
Look and Feel
Colourful cartoon animations make up the background of your gameplay, and the action takes place on a spaceship (or in a lab of some kind, we’re not quite sure which). This game is brighter than Gems of Adoria: you might need to slip some sunnies on.
Quite a Looker
Your transparent reels are set on a dark blue background, with some alien machines on either side of them, including what looks like a transporter – beam me up Wombat! At the bottom right you’ll see the boggly-eyed Gargantoon with three horns watching over your spins. It’s all a bit crazy, but lots of fun!
Reactoonz Slot Game Play
Reactoonz slot has seven reels and seven rows in a grid. That’s almost as many as the Tetris Extreme Mega Drop slot by the way, and there are certain similarities between the games.
There are no pay lines, but the aim is to round up clusters of five or more extra-terrestrials to make winning combos…
Land a win and the symbols are removed to make way for new space invaders from above, giving you multiple chances to win in the same round. These cascades continue until no more wins are made.
Every winning cluster is transferred to that Gargantoon waiting at the bottom of the reels in the Quantum device When he is full he’ll unleash a bonus feature – but more on that later…
Your reel icons are made up of Reactoonz aliens in pink, green, orange, blue, purple, brown, dark green and yellow. The two-eyed aliens are the higher value symbols, and it’s the pink space monster who will dish out the wins pays with 750x your stake for a cluster of fifteen.
Reactoonz Free Spins and Bonuses
The Wild icons in this slot won’t automatically land on the reels like they do in most games, here they have to be generated. How? Read on:
Fluctuation feature – During every spin, one symbol is marked as ‘fluctuating’. If a win is made from these symbols they will leave two wilds behind on the reels when they disappear in the cascade. Nice.
Instability feature -You’ll also create wilds with the Instability feature. After any non-win spin, the Gargantoon can add between four and eight wilds to your reels. Good bloke.
Giantoonz Double Wins
Landing 4x matching symbols of any kind will trigger a Giantoon – this creates a big 2×2 symbol that offers a x2 multiplier.
Quantum Leap Bonus
Every time you make a consecutive win, the Quantum Leap meter at the top of the reels is charged up. Once it’s full, the Gargantoon wakes up and dishes out one of the following bonus features:
Three to six symbols are turned into Wilds and all adjacent symbols explode.
A diagonal cross appears on the grid, from top left to bottom right and from top right to bottom left placing a Wild symbol in the middle of the grid. Now all icons in that cross will become wild. Whoop!
This removes all lower-paying one-eyed symbols making bigger payouts! Thank goodness, they were starting to freak this wombat out.
All low-value one-eyed icons transform into different, higher-paying symbols
The gameplay in the Reactoonz slot might take a little getting used to, but with weird little characters, heaps of bonuses and highly volatile play, what more could you want from a slot?
Another great game from Play’n GO and a slice of creative genius…
Wombat Score: 4/5
How many versions of this game are there?
We stock 2. The original and the sequel: Reactoonz 2. You can tell they are popular!
How you trigger a win on the 7x7 grid?
This is a Cluster Pays slot. You need to build clusters of five symbols or more to trigger a win. The winning symbols disappear and new ones cascade in, so you get multiple shots at making sequential wins off one turn.
What is the Quantum Leap Feature?
Good question! After a win, the Quantum Leap Charge Meter on the left of the screen lights up, and the symbols making up the winning combo blow up leaving a space for more symbols to cascade down and fill the gaps.
This continues as long as you keep winning. After five wins, the Reactoonz Quantum Leap Meter will fill up. Then one of the five Quantum features will trigger at random.
