OK, my fellow Wombats, it’s time to put on your dinner jackets or your party frocks, because we are heading away from the 20p roulette games and slipping through the velvet ropes, upstairs to the wonderful world of Immersive Roulette.
This ultra high definition live dealer roulette game from Evolution Gaming will have your mouth dropping open with its multiple camera angles, beautiful croupiers and slow motion replays.
The backdrop looks a little bit like a retro 70s space bar on the top of a New York sky scraper, but once you fire the game up and watch for a bit, you’ll quickly appreciate the production that has gone into this game- it’s second to none!
You’ll need to play this game for real though. There is no free demo on Immersive Roulette as the dealers are real people who won’t work for free, but you’ll be pleased to know that we are a Paypal Casino and accept all sorts of other payment methods, so loading up your account couldn’t be easier.
Look and Feel
This game has a real VIP feel, but the game is actually open to a wide range of players. You don’t have to bet your shirt on this game – a flutter is fine – but the table limits will satisfy the big spenders as well.
The big innovation on this game when it launched was the multiple camera angles. Most live games like our Diamond Strike Roulette game and other Evolution games now incorporate this but Immersive was the trail blazer and is still one of the best.
Your feed will switch between the overhead view (Mrs Wombat commented that perhaps the ladies ought to be wearing higher cut dresses for this camera angle but she didn’t seem to mind when the croupier finished her shift and a handsome lad sat down in the hot seat), a side view and lots of close ups of the dealers. That’s why they call it Immersive Roulette, I guess, as you are right in there among the action.
At the end of the spin, you’ll see the ball come to rest in a pocket from 0 to 36 (this is a European Roulette game after all with one zero pocket) and then a slow motion clip will show how the ball bounced around and landed.
The nice thing about this game is that it’s pretty quick between spins without rushing you on the betting table- Evolution Gaming seem to have got that balance right. And like all Evolution games, the functionality is brilliant, with some lovely stats features (hot and cold numbers, single number distribution chart, outside and inside bet distribution and so on).
All the standard roulette bets are just a click away, and you can load up a Call Bets racetrack for bets like Orphelins or Voisins.
And if that wasn’t enough technology in one game for you, there are plenty of ways to tailor the game to your liking. Just hit the settings and video icons at the top of the screen to adjust the video and sound.
There’s a chat button up there too if you fancy a chin wag with the dealers.
I’m not joking when I say that there was life before Immersive for roulette players and life after. If you prefer to play on a real wheel, it doesn’t get much more entertaining than this. Well, we’d also have to mention Lightning Roulette in the same breath (that’s also by Evolution Gaming), but that involves a few more special features. If it’s a pure live roulette experience you are after, Immerse yourself into the world of Immersive Roulette my friends!
Wombat Score: 5/5
We’d have gone higher if we could! This is one of our favourite table games on the site.
