100% Welcome up to 200.00*
The wombat says: I know what you’re thinking; ‘What have those Swedish gurus over at ELK Studios got up their gaming sleeves now?’
Well, the answer is the Dreamzone slot. And it takes us on a trip to the far reaches of the galaxy in search of astronomical wins! We hope !
Buckle up aboard the Starship Wombat, as we blast off with this space-age release.
Look and Feel
Space gems asteroids are the main theme here.
In the background behind your transparent reel grid you’ll see red and purple geometric lines and patterns, with the far solar systems twinkling light years away. It reminds this wombat of 80s’ film Tron to be honest! The soundtrack is an up-tempo electronic melody with whirling beats that made this wombat a bit dizzy. Overall, nice enough. It’s almost veering towards Pachinko from Neko Games – it’s certainly not your standard slot.
The Dreamzone slot is played on a 5×5 grid. You will make your interstellar wins through cluster pays, where 3x or more symbols connected adjacently will give you a pay-out. Bets start at 0.20 and go up to 100.00 space federation credits.
Your reel grid icons are made up of 10 gemstone symbols in various colours; 5 high paying symbols and 5 low paying. The most lucrative icon is the red, crystal-shaped asteroid, followed by the orange, green, blue and green crystals. Hit 11 of these gems on the grid and you’ll get from x40 to x100 your bet! Bonza!
Dreamzone also comes with avalanche reels where all icons from winning combos will disappear and be replaced by brand spanking new symbols that drop in form above. This gives you the chance to make new wins on the same spin. Value for money we call it!
Free Spins and Bonuses
When you get a winning spin, this cool little feature is set off and ‘Dream Features’ will get collected. They are used to ensure you keep avalanche drops going on non-win drops, and 1 of 4 things can happen:
Up to 4 single symbols are removed from the grid
At least 5 wild icons are added to the grid
A low value symbol is picked randomly and upgraded to a high value icon
Icons will pay out as if they were scatters – which means they don’t have to be adjacent.
A maximum of 5 Dream Features can be collected per drop. Get enough of them and you can net some chunky wins!
These are basically Free Spins that have been given a fancy name.
To collect the Bonus Drops, you’ll need to clear the whole screen of icons during the avalanche cascades. Next, the bonus drops will start with a win Multiplier of x2 and you’ll receive 3 free goes. The aim of the game is to the clear the grid of icons to reach the next level.
Each level will double the win multiplier and add on another 3 spins – going all the way up to Level 9 with 512x your bet and 27 Free Drops on offer.
While that sounds mind-blowing in theory, sadly this wombat has never got past level 3…
ELK Studios have come up with 4 automated betting strategies that respond to your game play. So, when different conditions are met – your bet size will change and modify accordingly. Choose the one you fancy and play:
Optimiser: This bets a certain percentage of your balance on every spin. Choose a % between 1, 2, 5 and 10, and you will stake an amount that is closest to allowed bet level.
Jumper: After a win the bet level will increase by x1, up to 4 levels above the original bet (that means x10). After a losing spin the bet level will reset. So, for example if your original bet is €0.15 per spin, in case of 4 consecutive wins the bet will go to €0.30, €0.60, €0.90, up to €1.50
Booster: This is the opposite of Jumper. The bet level will increase by x1 after each loosing spin, up to 4 levels. After a winning spin the bet level will reset.
Leveller: The bet level will increase by x2 after 5 consecutive losing spins. It can happen twice. A winning round will reset to basic level.
Dreamzone slot is another solid effort from ELK. But this wombat can’t help but thinking it’s not got the wow factor and pzazz of some of their other slots like Micro Knights or Cygnus.
The space gem theme is a bit outdated we reckon, and even with the ‘Dream Features’ the base game is lacking in the usual ELK Studios’ magic.
So, this is one astrological adventure we could miss out on if needs be…
