The Wombat says: Did you know that Alchemy is the science of turning potions into gold? Which is why when this wombat saw that Skillz Gaming and Microgaming were running Alchemy classes inside Lita Flamel’s Academy of Magic, we were pretty stoked. Does she look like the Madam in the Agent Destiny slot with longer hair? Could be….
Basically, all you have to do in Alchemy Blast slot is brew magical elixirs to trigger off some magical-themed bonus games. And with the beautiful (and rather buxom) Lita Flamel, Headmistress of the Academy, as your host, how could you not turn metal in gold?
Grab that broomstick – it’s time to get your witch on!
Look And Feel
As the game opens up you’ll be taken to the Academy of Magic led by Lita Flamels, world- famous alchemist and sorceress. The graphics in this slot are made up of loads of very colourful icons while the play is set inside Flamels’ sorcerer’s workshop. Behind the reels you’ll find potions, lotions and elixirs in all sorts of bottles including a dubious-looking smoking green liquid. Hmmm, could it be Mrs Wombat’s cabbage soup?
You’ll also see a cauldron with all manner of potions brewing at the bottom of the reels, plus shelves with spell books. It’s your standard spooky fare, Wombat fans. If you prefer the brighter side of life then we´d recommend something like the Pink Elelphants slot from Thunderkick – that´s a crazy one.
Alchemy Blast Slot Game Play
Alchemy Blast slot has 6 reels and 5 rows but there are no pay-lines in this game (head to the That´s Rich slot if you prefer a more traditional type of fruitie). This is all about clusters (see below). Bets start at 0.80 to up to a decent 100 per spin.
Your icons on the reels include a load of different coloured alchemy symbols in yellow, blue, turquoise, pink and red. The aim of the game is to click on clusters (3x or more symbols) of elements of the same kind. These winning combos will then explode and new symbols will be added.
By doing this, you will fill up the corresponding element meters at the top of your screen. Blasting clusters of 7x or more matching elements and you’ll fill up the Element bars scooping a multiplier cash win of 0.5x for red, 1x for blue, 2x for pink, 5x for turquoise, and 10x for yellow.
You can fill the Element bars multiple times during a go (if you’re very lucky, Wombat fans). Think Candy Crush or Cookie Jam and you’ll soon get the picture.
Free Spins and Bonus Features
There are 3x bonus levels in Alchemy Blast slot. In the first you’ll gather vials from the Magic Box, the second you must collect magical books in the Library of Wisdom, and the third will set off the Free Games.
Make a cluster win with one blue Elixir bottle and you’ll trigger the Mystery Box bonus. Now you must collect as many vials as possible each with a different multiplier, but beware of the vial filled with poison! It will end the bonus…
Set off the Wisdom Library bonus by making a cluster win with 2x pink Elixir bottles. Although this is easier said than done! Next you’ll find 5 books of different colours in a library on shelves. Pick the books to reveal cash wins. But beware there’s also a cursed book on these magical shelves – and if you uncover it, the bonus is over!
This is the Big Daddy of the bonuses. You’ll trigger off this Free Games feature by making a cluster win with 3x of the green Elixir bottles. Now you’ll get 5 free goes with a multiplier of 2x, 3x, and 5x, every time you destroy a cluster. Sounds good to this wombat…
And finally, if you make a cluster win with one of the Philosopher’s Stones (the crystal thingys to you and me) you’ll get an instant x1000 multiplier on your initial bet. We love ruddy all this magic stuff!
Alchemy Blast slot is a fun, casual game, but there is a whole load of clicking to be done with not that much return which can be a little frustrating. Still, we loved the theme and fans of match ’em mobile games will like the play.
