The wombat says: Grab your laser watches and those X-ray specs, we’re about to enter the world of Agent Destiny slot; a spy-themed comic book game from Play’N Go, those gurus behind games like the Riches of Robin slot and Book of Dead.
It’s the 1960s, and Agent Destiny, along with her sidekick Agent Adam, must protect the world from evil masterminds known as Madam and The Doctor. Quite what their evil plan is this wombat can’t be sure, but all you need to do is watch a few Bond films to know it usually involves blowing up the planet. They could have done with her services on the Beat the Bobbies at the Tower of London slot.
It’s nice to see Play’N Go get away from the usual Egyptian- themed games and even nicer that they’ve added features like mega symbols and linked reels where you can scoop up to x5,000 your bet.
Let’s go undercover in search of wins… Now.
Look and Feel
Your retro reels are framed in black, and the backdrop to your game play is a black and white comic book. There’s a Pop Art feel to the visuals which (according to the blurb), are based on the work of renowned comic-book artist Adam Hughes. This wombat doesn’t know much about all that high brow stuff, but we do know that this slot reminds us a bit of the Jack Hammer games. And we ruddy love those games.
All in all, the comic-book design is awesome here and creates plenty of atmosphere for you to soak up while you spin.
Agent Destiny slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 pay-lines – just like the Harlequin Carnival slot, but set in a slightly different era of course. You can play from between 0.10 and 100 per spin in pound, euros or dollars. Agent Adam looks like he´s playing in dollars.
Your symbols on the reels include; Agent Adam looking dapper in a blue suit, The Doctor, evil but-slightly-sexy genius Madam in the green dress and Agent Destiny who the busty dame with the short blonde bob. Your low value icons include the J, Q, K & A playing card royals.
The Wild Scatter symbol is the locked safe with the ‘w’ on it. It will substitute for all other symbols on the reels, and it will also give you 60 x your bet for 5 on a payline. Whoop! But most importantly, it’s also the key to setting off the Bonus…
Linked Reels & Mega Symbols
This is a cool base game feature that gets our seal of approval!
Linked Reels can be triggered on any random spin, next, either reels 4 and 5 or reels 3, 4 and 5 will all spin together. During this feature, the wild symbol and all other high-value icons can land as stacked mega symbols in 2×3 or 3×3 form – creating some big wins.
Land a fully stacked mega symbol on reel 5 during the Linked Reels and you’ll be given a re-spin. Now, the stacked symbols from reel 5 will move to reel 1 and you’ll have matching stacked icons at either end that will become sticky. Finally, the rest of the reels will spin again.
This is a right little money spinner Wombat fans!
Land 3x Wild scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 reels, and you’ll pick up 9 bonus spins, with the linked reels and mega symbols will be active on every single spin, too! Oh, and hitting another 3 wild scatters will give you 3x more Free Spins. Say hi to those Mega Wins…
When it comes to volatility, Play‘N Go have given Agent Destiny slot a 10/10 meaning it’s a high variance game – and we found that the chunky wins will mainly hit during the Free Spins with those active Linked Reels. This game looks amazing Wombat fans, can pay out if you’re patient, and is a real treat to play.
Wombat score: 5/5.
We’d give it a 6 if we could!
