Agent Jane Blonde Returns
Agent Jane Blonde Returns
One of my fave slots is making a comeback in Microgaming’s Agent Jane Blonde Returns slot- it’s getting a new lease of life. She’s our favourite heroine alongside that hard as nails girl in the Lara Croft Temple and Tombs slot which is another cracking good game.
So, there I was, entering the dangerous world of good versus evil, straight after brekkie. And this time our favourite blonde agent has been drawn by Stormcraft Studios. Ready for another mission? That’s what she’ll ask you in her husky voice when you fire this game up.
Those slot fans who remember the original Jane Blonde game will remember a cartoony cut-out of a woman of action. Move the clock forward a good few years and Microgaming have developed a sharper character with their new partnership with Stormcraft Studios. “That’s quite nice”, as Jane would say after win in her cute British accent.
Just as before, Jane Blonde is having a crack at bringing in the bad guys and gals with every trick in the espionage book.
Look and Feel
Behind the reels there is a watery city nightscape in an illuminated blurry style, sending the reel action into the forefront of play. It’s all very colourful – not quite as bright as the Gorilla Go Wilder slot, but we are talking spies and espionage here.
The reels are stuffed with pictures of Jane in a series of different spy disguises. The super spy of this game’s title is all-woman and less of a caricature than in the original.
This spy thriller action takes place over 3 rows, 5 reels and 15 pay-lines. This game looks a peach on all your devices.
Four different Jane’s in some cunning disguises are the game’s four high scoring icons. Expect to spot the agent in a hat and glasses, scuba gear, in cocktail mode, and in black clothing. She gets around! Eat your heart out James.
The lower value symbols are all the tools that help Jane to come up trumps. There is a red sports car, a gun and handbag, a pile of cash and some fake passports, a laptop and a fancy watch. The kind of things that Pablo in the Narcos slot would appreciate, except for the bag of course.
The Wild which lands and expands in the base game is Agent Blonde again, this time in a suit. Land five Wilds on an active pay-line and earn 60 coins. The pay-table on this game can be accessed from the in game menu. 5 wilds with a ten pound or euro bet nets you 200, to give you an idea.
This icon subs for all icons except the Scatter which is the game’s logo.
Capture two or more Scatters on the reels and you’ll enter the Bonus game. During this mode a little slot magic happens, when Scatters land they usefully turn into sticky Wilds for a re-spin. And this fun can keep coming as long as you can land Scatters. If you get a spin with no wilds or when every symbol position contains a wild, the fun is over and you are back to the base game.
The Wombat Summary
This big and shiny revamp of our favourite agent in the Agent Jane Blonde Returns slot is a hit on the graphics side but this game is all about keeping it simple on the features front. If your head hurts from playing too many bonus rich games, this could be just the tonic. I love a bit of double dealing and sneaking around in the spy slot genre, so this game worked for me.
