Wild-O-Tron 3000
This game is no longer available at Wombat Casino. Sorry about that chaps.
Why not try Reatoonz 2 from Play’n GO instead?
NetEnt’s latest slot adventure, the not so easy off the tongue Wild-O-Tron 3000 slot, took this wombat into a whole new realm of gaming- the world of robots! Just don’t play this straight after a more traditional 3 reel game like the Vegas Diamonds slot or it might short circuit your brain.
As a creature who likes a good scratch and dig, Wild–O-Tron 3000 took this home-body out of my comfort zone – my burrow. Oh I do love a good tunnel and sleeping chamber. On the plus side, a slot where pretty much the whole reels can be zapped into Wilds did grab my fur for its cash making possibilities. Bring it on NetEnt, you beauties! Come to Daddy! And this game is a looker! We’d put it up there with the Shogun of Time slot and others fairly and squarely in the “Easy on the Eye” category.
Look and feel
The game is set in a retro robot factory where colourful robots are under construction. This game isn’t the whole nine yards when it comes to fancy graphics but it has a paired back retro arcade feel to it. I’m good with that. It’s pretty bright as well. Not as bright as the Happy Birthday slot of course, but it’s definitely in that feel good slot category.
The game’s slightly dated look is all deliberate , and it gives it a certain charm especially if your wombat ears are longer than they used to be.
The reels are part of the factory mechanics and to the right of the reels a special old school machine – the Wild-O-Tron 3000 – sparks electricity and clanks along.
As you play you’ll hear slightly random marching robot electronic music and the bleeping of robots. It kind of reminds me of that robot in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Or even Tron I guess. Woah! That’s going back a bit (not to the 25th Century). I binge watched it on the History Channel the other night, just in case you were wondering.
Game Play
The Wild-O-Tron 3000 slot is played over 3 rows, 5 reels and 20 pay-lines, and is equally happy being played across pcs and mobile devices. Play it on an iPad as well if you want!
The detailed mechanical icons taking over the reels are seven different robots in a variety of colours, each divided into three pieces. The pieces of robot can turn up as a whole robot in three pieces, two pieces or as a single element. The highest value icon is the red robot, followed by orange, yellow, green, blue, silver and a faded gold one that looks like it might have seen better days.
The game’s Wild is a cute round robotic creature with a blue illuminated “W” on it and this can swap out for all icons. If you land five of these gizmos on an active pay-line there’s x25 your wager on offer- those are the kind of odds to get this marsupial out of my burrow. If I was a koala, I’d probably come down off my tree for a look.
The Bonuses
Wild-O-Tron 3000 comes with a single randomly activated extra feature.
This extra means that suddenly the little Wild-O-Tron droid to the right of the reels cranks into action. As the robot wakes up it starts sparking and sends blue electrical flashes over the reels. Zap!
Those lucrative strands of electrical force on the reels propels between one and six of the robotic elements on the reels into a selection of new Wilds. With more Wilds on the reels there is a boost to your win making. Kerching! Thank you Mr Robot, don’t mind if I do.
The Summary
The Wild-O-Tron 3000 slot is a game with some fun 1960’s styling to its sci-fi theme. Although this game only comes with one bonus feature; it has to be said that it’s a goodie.
Who doesn’t like a whole host of extra symbols becoming Wild? All those new Wilds are there to help you have an android powered boost to your wins.
This simple but entertaining Roboslot comes with an RTP of 96.01%. It’s a low variance game, and an easy one to play. If you love slots in the sci-fi genre, then this bite sized game comes with plenty of likable appeal.
