Do you remember when flying was glamorous? No, neither do I. If I get a processed cheese sandwich thrown at me on Bryan Air, well that’s an upgrade these days. Mind you, my legs are pretty short which works in my favour.

But back in the fifties and sixties, flying back to Oz was much more civilised! It had to be, as it took 5 days. And that is what the Ticket to Riches slot is all about: the glamour days of aviation.

There are no mobile check ins on this game! It’s all old school suitcases, Hawaiian shirts and glamorous hostesses.

Play the game, and collect tickets along the way that can be your tickets to some big prizes. Are you ready for take off? Buckle in and let’s take a look.

Graphics

The Ticket to Riches slot sticks to the theme, but it’s not the most advanced game we have played, let’s face it. The backgound to the reels is a prop plane with orange seats and floors.

Peer through the windows, and you will see clouds floating on by. This slot has five reels, three rows, and 243 possible ways to win. At the top of the reels are three meters, where you collect tickets to bring additional features.

The all-important collect symbol must land on the reels to activate the features.

Gameplay

Ticket to Riches has a minimum bet of 0.10, up to a maximum of 40.00. The RTP is 96.05%, and the volatility is low, so you should see regular action as you play. Bonus rounds kick in more frequently then a high volatility slot.

The maximum win is x5000: pretty decent for a low volatility slot, higher than games like Akiva Claws of Power in any case.

Look out for typical plane symbols such as propellers, headphones, boarding stairs, and suitcases.

Any lower-paying symbols pay between x0.5 and x1 of your bet for five of a kind. The higher-paying symbols on the reels are the tourist in a green shirt, the couple, the flight attendant, and of course, the captain.

These symbols on the reels will reward you with x2 to x8 of your bet for five of a kind.

Note that there are no wild symbols in this game, but the ticket feature up top adds an edge and a new dimension to the slot.

Bonus Features

Ticket Symbol: this looks like an old school train ticket. It can fill either one position or two cells on the reels.

A regular ticket adds one to the bonus meter above the reels, and a larger ticket adds two.

You will find the Last Call bonus meter on reels one and two. The free spins multiplier is on reel three, and reels four and five hold the Free spins bonus meter.

Collect Symbol
This is depicted by a gold anchor with wings. It will appear on all reels except the middle during regular play.

When it lands on reels one or two, it activates the Last Call Feature. The free spins feature begins if it lands on reels four and five.

Last Call Feature
You get to pick from different boarding passes and you will receive the same number of picks that is in the meter. The boarding passes reveal either a grand pass, an extra selection, or a destination pass.

If you pick three golden grand passes, you will win the maximum win of x5000.

Free Spins
The free spins are activated as soon as a Collect symbol lands on reels four or five. The feature will award the number of free spins you have collected in the meter.

The multiplier meter also kicks in here and will award the number of multipliers you have collected in reel three. The free spins cannot be triggered, and the game will play out until all the free spins are used.

Summary

Ticket to Riches has a relaxed vibe about it but with a modern twist to its classic old school look.

The game is fast and fun, with plenty of new features. We like the meter feature. Try it out in demo mode at Wombat Casino.
