The Wombat says: Eyecon’s Secret Garden slot is (kind of) based on the Frances Hodgson Burnett children’s book published in 1911.
Eyecon have given us pink pigs in the Piggy Payout slot machine, Aztecs in Lost Island and all thing green in Irish Luck, so put on your gardening gloves and let’s get horticultural shall we?
Here’s a brief synopsis for you: Mary Lennox is a little girl who is orphaned and moves in with her Uncle in a gloomy English manor house. Her only friend is a bed-ridden boy called Colin who is almost as miserable as she is. But when Mary finds the key to a Secret Garden in the grounds of house, magical powers of transformation do the business on her and she lives happily ever after.
So Wombat Fans, if you want to find out what’s on the other side of the secret garden (it’s mainly a whole load of English countryside wildlife to be honest), then let’s fire up those reels and check it out!
Look and Feel
The graphics are made up of some nice hand-drawn illustrations that look like something straight out of the original book. We like them a lot, as they makes a nice change from your standard cartoon visuals which Eyecon do a lot of – we are thinking of games like the Double Up Ducks slot and Fluffy Too from the same designer.
Secret Garden Slot Game Play
Secret Garden slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 paylines (just like Eyecon’s sweet toothed number, the Sugar Train slot), and you can play this highly fragrant slot with bets starting from 0.25 coins per spin and going up to a maximum of 12.50 coins per spin in your home currency.
Your symbols on the reels include; daffodils in full bloom, a song bird of come kind perched on a branch, some lucky red ladybirds, tall sunflowers, buzzy dragonflies, toadstools, some beautiful roses and a golden padlock and key.
The golden padlock and key is the highest paying symbol in the base game and is worth 9,500 coins for 5 of a kind. It is also the wild symbol in Secret Garden slot. Yes, this cool icon will substitute for all other symbols on the reels (except for the Scatters) to make up extra winning combos for you. It will also dish you out a nice 2x multiplier on all wins it contributes too.
The red rose is the Scatter in the game, but more on this below…
Free Spins and Bonus Features
Land 3x of the red rose scatters anywhere on the reels and it’s 15 Free Spins for you Wombat Fans! All your wins will be tripled thanks to a x3 multiplier, and best of all the Free Spins can be re-triggered up to 15 times if you land 3x or more further red rose Scatters as you are playing. Nice touch…
Gamble Bonus
Feeling lucky? There’s a Gamble Bonus available in this slot after any wining spin and it will pay double or nothing. All you have to do to win double is correctly guess one of the two options (either red or black) that is presented to you, but play carefully if you make a wrong guess you’ll lose the whole lot! This feature is not available in all countries.
Secret Garden Jackpot
We also stock a Jackpot version of the stock that allows you to play for Eyecon’s progressive jackpots. Just note that the RTP is slightly lower than the original game as you will be contributing to the network jackpot.
Conclusion
The Secret Garden slot is one of this Wombat’s fave Eyecon games. The double wild multipliers make the base game fairly lucrative, but as always the biggest pays come from the Free Spins and that very generous 3x multiplier. A simple and nice looking slot that’s entertaining to play. What’s not to like?
