Parrots Of The Caribbean
Rate The Game
This game is no longer available at Wombat Casino. Sorry about that chaps!
Why not try Wild Seas slot from ELK Studios instead?
The wombat says: Parrots of the Caribbean slot from Revolver Gaming is a colourfully bonkers game (although not as bizarre as Dr Wildshock Mad Loot Lab, but that’s anoter story) that was inspired by 3D animated films and pirate legend– but instead of pirates you get their long-suffering fluffy sidekicks, parrots.
Never heard of Revolver Gaming? Don’t worry, we hadn´t either. But apparently, they’re a London-based games studio that have been in business since 2010. Bonza.
It’s time to get plundering those beautiful desert islands, with your mutinous crew of feathered friends on the hunt for buried treasure and most likely, a good bottle of rum. Me hearties.
Look and Feel
Expect cartoon fun and frolics as you board this particular parrot ship – yes, comedy characters and amusing little touches make this very game nice to look at. We do love a toon slot (like the Piggy Bank Farm slot for example) and this potty parrot game is a nice addition to the vault.
Meanwhile, the soundtrack to your spins is awesome! A jaunty sea-shanty song that will have you tapping your paws long after you’ve finished the spins. Catchy doesn’t do it justice. Throw in a series of squawks and the odd cry of a seagull and you’ve got the perfect background music for a parrot/pirate game.
Game Play
Parrots Of The Caribbean slot has 5 reels, with 3 rows and 25 pay-lines: that’s 5 less than Bonus Bunnies, but then again that furry slot has 4 rows. You can bet from 0.25 to 250.00 per spin. It´s a traditional kind of set up, none of your new fangled games like the Magic 500 slot machine with its 4096 Ways to Win.
Your reels icons are made up of 5 different coloured pirate parrots, the female feathered pal with the pink bandana, the green fella with the knife in his mouth, the chief parrot sporting the with the captain’s hat, the daft-looking blue bird and the purple parrot/pirate with the long beak.
The 10, J, Q, K & A playing cards make up your lower value symbols.
The Cap’n is the most lucrative symbol on the reels paying 16x your bet for 5 in a row.
There is a Wild on your swashbuckling reels, and it’s the eye-patch wearing pirate octopus icon (naturally). This tentacled fella will behave as a standard wild, but will also land as sticky in the Free Spins round.
There are 2 bonus symbols in the game; the Free Spins ship’s wheel and the golden treasure chest – both unlock bonus features. Ooh aarrr.
Free Spins and Bonuses
Free Spins
Land 3x or more Free Spins symbol and it’s time for your bonus spins – you’ll receive 4, 5 or 8 free goes depending in how many icons trigger off the feature. Next you’ll be taken to a new screen – it’s the parrot’s pirate ship at night! Any Wilds that land during the round will become sticky and remain on the reels to help you make more wins. Land another bonus symbol, and you’ll scoop an additional Free Spin, too!
Pirate Plunder
This fun feature is a little harder to hit – but when you do, it’s worth it. Land 3x of the gold treasure chest icons and you’ll soon be hunting for loot on desert islands.
Spin the compass at the bottom of the screen, and make your way from island to island, pocketing multipliers and cash prizes as you go. As you enter the bonus, you’ll immediately awarded 4 goes but the rest of your moves will be decided by the sum of two pointers on the compass. I
f both pointers point at the same number, you’ll be given an extra turn is awarded. The multipliers that range from x1 to x10 – so there’s some decent bounty to be plundered!
Conclusion
Parrots Of The Caribbean slot is a whole lot of fun. This wombat loves the theme and that soundtrack is still in our heads! As a low-variance slot wins are small but consistent – but bust open the Pirate Plunder feature and you can pick up a tidy sum. It’s a slot cracker.
