Look and Feel

We wombats don’t scare easily, but we do love a bit of suspense!
Our eponymous hero Fantasini appears to be a handsome Victorian illusionist, and as such this game is littered with musical hall memorabilia. We particularly liked the escapologist chains that make up the game’s linked reels, but more on that later…
Game Play
Fantasini: Master of Mystery is a 5 reel slot with 3 rows and has 243 ways to win instead of pay-lines like the Football Champions Cup slot (for instance). What does that mean? Well, you no longer need to worry about the lines Wombat Fans! Simply line up matching symbols anywhere on the reels from left to right and you’ll win.
The symbols on the reels are a bunch of colourful icons set against the black background and include; a shimmering and beautiful magician’s assistant, a chained treasure chest, a masterful hand clutching a glowing crystal ball, a pair of golden handcuffs (my favourite, don’t ask why) and a dagger piercing a deck of cards, all mixed in with the standard playing cards A, K, Q, J, 10 & 9 that make up the lower paying symbols.
Our brooding Man of Mystery Fantasini makes up the slot’s Wild, and will substitute for other symbols on the reels to create more magical wins for you. This Wombat was certainly enchanted!
Magical Bonus Feature
‘And now for my next trick…’ The bonus round in Fantasini slot is called the Linked Reels Feature. This cool little extra is triggered randomly as golden chains and padlocks spring up and encase adjacent reels (linking them) during play. At the beginning of each spin 2x or more reels will be linked together and these will result in identical symbols landing on the reels.
This wombat had a touch of marsupial madness about him when we realised that these linked reels can cover 3, 4 or even 5 reels. This gives you the potential to really ramp up your wins, and also adds a whole load more tension to the game!
Conclusion
Just like an illusionist’s act we can’t help but feeling that Fantasini: Master of Mystery slot is a bit ‘style over substance’. This wombat liked the dramatic look and feel of this game, but with no Scatters or Free Spins, we didn’t love the play. The Linked Reels bonus feature is good, but it offered small wins rather than chunky pay outs. This slot is worth a spin but it’s not a Wombat fave.
