What’s the Deal?

It’s time to get those desert boots on my sandy friends, as we are off to Ancient Egypt again to take a look at the Links of Ra slot from Games Global and Slingshot Studios. This game comes powered with the popular Link & Win feature, plus it has a few other goodies up its sleeves.

The action plays out on a 5×4 grid and 40 paylines. This is a volatile game (is it just me, or are there a lot of volatile slots about at the moment?) with a top prize of 25,000x your stake. That is even more than the Cat Clans slot my friends, and the Egyptians liked a cat.

Look and Feel

These days a game has to look slick with all the competition about (try the Beasts of Fire slot if you don’t believe me) and Links of Ra achieves that.

The Egyptian graphics are clear and crisp, with the Pyramids of Giza at sunset as the background. The game looks great on a mobile or tablet as well.

The 5×4 playing grid sits in the center. The low-paying symbols are four gems, then you’ll see the Ancient Egyptian gods: Anubis, Bastet, Khnum, Sobek and Horus. The links of Ra Wild is the game’s logo while the Scatter symbol is Ankh drawn over a blue gem.

It’s a great-looking slot game alright: a more traditional theme than something like Gods of Rock (Anubis is on bass for that one) but very well done. Good work Slingshot, fair dinkum.

Links of Ra Slot Game Play

The Links of Ra slot is easy to pick up compared to some of the other games we have spun recently. The Wild substitutes for symbols to make up wins of course, and it is also the top payer: Five nets you 25x your stake.

In the base game, you may see Super Stacked symbols which will boost your win chances. Very nice.

Link & Win

Let’s cut to the chase shall we, which is the Link & Win feature. You can trigger this from the base game and the bonus feature with at least six Gold Coin symbols. The triggering coins will stick in place on the reels and you’ll get three Re-spins to hopefully bag more Gold Coins.

Any additional Coins will reset the Re-spins counter and will also stick in place. The Coins are loaded with 1x to 15x multipliers in the base game, and when you have finished the round (no more Gold coins) or when you have landed a whole screen full Gold Coins, you will win the overall total.

There are also four different Jackpot Coin symbols, with  20x, 100x, 500x and 2,500x jackpots on them, called the Mini, Minor, Major and Grand.

If you happen to be in the bonus game, the multipliers on the Gold Symbols, including those jackpots, are doubled.

Bonus Game

To get into the Links of Ra bonus, you will need three Scatters. This gets you 15 Free Spins, and all wins are multiplied by 2x throughout the feature.

So, as the Grand Jackpot offers a 2,500x your stake win, and the Free Spins doubles your wins, there is a 5,000x Grand Jackpot prize in the bonus. In total, the Links of Ra top payout is a 25,000x your stake win. it is a high-variance game, however, so expect hot and cold periods.

Summary

The Links of Ra Slot is another ripper of a game in the Link & Win game series. Other games in this group include Thunderstruck Wild Lightning and Game of Thrones Power Stacks. This new Egyptian number is a real looker as well.
