Drum roll please… yes, it’s finally here, Wombat fans! The Gemix 2 slot from Play’n GO!
This new game is the sequel to Gemix from back in 2014, that has become a slot cult classic – so we are more than stoked to see a second version has been released. This one´s brighter than the Reef Raider slot from NetEnt and that´s going some.
Fans of the original will be pleased to hear that the theme and game play stays the same, but the max win is now 7500x your bet (that’s almost double their cluster slot: Gigantoonz) and there’s a few new features, too.

Graphics & Theme
We are back in Gemix Land where castles sit in the clouds and gnomes in raincoats give you cheeky gifts from their pockets! Ha!
The reel grid sits on a backdrop of a clear blue sky, and you will see 4 white castles, one for each of the worlds. Meters and grids make up the rest of the screen.
The design and soundtrack have been given a good upgrade – and it shows.
Pay Table
Your reel icons are made up of multi-coloured gemstones in blue, turquoise, purple and green as the lower value icons.
While a golden star, a red heart, orange flower and a pink crescent moon make up the 4 premium symbols.
There are no scatters here, and the Wilds are represented by each of the World guardians that have these wild features.

This small fellow will add up to 10 wilds to the reels.

Gemix 2 Game Play
The Gemix 2 slot is a cluster pays game that comes with a 7 x 7 grid. Create wins by landing clusters of at least 5x matching icons that touch either horizontally and/or vertically on the reels. It’s quite a bit different to games like 9 Pots of Gold which is more a traditional pay-lines number. This one is more like the Alha slot from NetEnt.
Cascade Drops
After each cluster match, the winning icons will explode and disappear, making way for brand new symbols to drop onto the reels from above.
Bonus Features
Crystal Charge
Look to the right of the reels you’ll see a crystal meter – it needs 25 reel symbols to fill it up halfway. Do this on one consecutive cascade drop, you’ll be given one of these bonza reel modifiers:
Nova Blast
Explodes 1 symbol which transforms and destroys adjacent symbols.
Crystal Warp
A random symbol will be chosen and all instances it be turned into that icon
Light Beam
A beam of light transforming any symbols it hits
Chain Lightning
Will connect 2 corner symbols with a lightning bolt – all symbols in the crossfire will turn into one of the corner symbols.
Super Charge
Manage to fully charge the meter by scooping the full 50 icons and you’ll trigger all 4 mini features! You’ll also be given a 2x win multiplier that will increase on each winning cascade drop.
World Patterns
There are 4 worlds in the Gemix 2 slot. They belong with the chisel jawed knight, a gnome in a mac, a vain princess and white-bearded wizard.
On every spin you will see a set of blue positions that make a pattern underneath various icons on the reel grid.
If you land a win on a position with a blue tile, the tile will now turn yellow. And if you manage to turn the whole pattern from blue to yellow, then you’ll level up to the next world. And the pays will level up too.

Conclusion:
The Gemix 2 slot is an excellent sequel and a lot of fun to play with its bonkers theme and many bonza bonuses.
The only minus is that it’s pretty tough to complete the World Patterns, so, the World Bonus isn’t like to hit very often.
