Fire ‘N’ Hot
Fire ‘N’ Hot
The wombat says: Fire ‘n’ Hot slot from Tom Horn Gaming seems to have an unhealthy obsession with hell and all things fiery hot. As a bush animal I can tell you that flames are no one’s friend so we were rather perturbed when this title popped into the spinbox ready for a review. Especially as we have just been taking a look at the Curious Cabinet slot and our nerves are all on edge, I can tell you.
Still, we’re not ones to judge here at Wombat Towers, so lets fire up the reels and see if we can’t scoop some devilishly good wins! Or will this game just burn through our coffers?
Look and Feel
The background to the reels is a swirling mass of orange, red and yellow backdraft flames, that would be quite cosy if they weren’t actual hellfire -meanwhile said reels are framed by a red devil’s trident. The style of these hot reels is that of a traditional fruit machine but done up with bright and colourful graphics. So think Top Strike Championship slot machine, but just with more heat.
Fire N Hot slot is your classic 5 reel, 3 row setup with 5 pay-lines. Yes, just the 5! Bets start at £0.10 and go up to £100 per spin – so there’s a wager for everyone here.
Your symbols on the reels are made up of traditional fruit symbols including juicy cherries, the lemon, the orange, some ripe plums, grapes and a watermelon. So pretty much like the Double Triple Chance slot then, with one important distinction: the highest value symbol on the reels is the lucky number 7 that will pay out a whopping 800x our bet for 5 in a row.
The Golden 7 symbol is Wild icon in this game and will substitute for any symbol on the reels (except the scatter) to make up extra winning combos for you. It also bursts into flames when it contributes to a win which is a nice touch.
The star symbol is the scatter in Fire ‘N’ Hot slot and is the key to the bonus game, so keep your eyes peeled for it.
Free Spins and Bonuses
Land 3x or more of the Star Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels and you will set off the Mystery Bonus.
Depending on how many of the Scatters you landed to begin with, that number of stars will appear on your screen with the slot icons behind them. Pick one of the hidden icons at random and all the other icons will transform into the same symbol before awarding you a fiery cash prize (hopefully).
Sadly there are no Free Spins on offer in this game which makes our hearts sink a little. But still…
Feel the need for a further flutter wombat fans? Then try your luck at the Gamble mini game by clicking on the button underneath the reels after any winning spin.
A box with grey stars will appear on your screen – simply choose whether the next star will be black or red. Guess right and you’ll double your win, but get it wrong and you’ll lose the lot.
We’re not going to lie Wombat fans, this isn’t one of our more complicated games. The lack of Free Spins feels a like an odd choice from Tom Horn Gaming, and there are no multipliers or stacked wilds to make up for it. But, if you like your slots very simple, you might want to give it a spin. It does have a Mystery Bonus round and plenty of wild symbols floating around.
