The Crystal Lotus slot has come springing into the gaming world thanks to the brains at Eyecon. This game’s uber relaxed feel shouldn’t be underestimated; there’s a lot of action to look forward to when you crack the Expanding Wild Re-spins. And it’s nice and bright too, like the Neon Fruit slot with less fluorescence.
This game takes you to the equivalent of a chill out tent in Glastonbury, think astral thoughts while you try and load up your wallet!
Look and Feel
If you want to unleash your inner wombat Zen master while trying to pick up some cash then Crystal Lotus is in that much needed line of relaxing titles that still offer great game play to make sure you don’t feel too saintly.
Your game is set against a warm purple background with the feint outline of crystal shapes. The reels are transparent to keep the graphics clear and simple. The icons are mostly a selection of easy-on-the-eye symbols with a wave of crystal magic over them to keep thematic. If you want bright and breezy, then head for the Wild Worlds slot machine as this is a more laid back affair. It’s good though!
The music to get your reels rolling is an inoffensive mix of chimes and electronic soothing vibes. Ohmmm.
There is also a version of this game called the Crystal Lotus Jackpot game which you will find in our Jackpot slots section.
You can scoop up to 1,500 times your stake on this game if you land five matching symbols on a pay-line. The lotus is the wild again, and it can swap out in for other symbols.
Look out for that Expanding Wild Re-Spin bonus: when the lotus lands on any of the middle three reels, this triggers. Sit back and watch as the flower expands to cover the whole reel. You then get a re-spin. Nice!
Crystal Lotus Game Play
Crystal Lotus is played over 3 rows, 5 reels and 10 pay-lines and better still, this puppy pays for your line wins left to right AND right to left. Kerching!
So although it comes in under the line number you’ll see on games like the Tiki Tastic slot machine, it makes up for it in that 2 way feature. In any case, more lines doesn’t necessarily mean more wins. It just affects the way the slot distributes winnings.
Whacking up the atmospheric pressure is the all-time classic, the BAR sign. There is a heart-attack inducing 1,500 coins for you, if your chilled out chakra can lure five of these babies onto an active pay-line. What’s a chakra I hear you ask? Well, it’s one of seven centres of spiritual power in the human body. So now you know.
You’ll also see the lucky number 7, that fruity stalwart, up next with a trio of crystallised flowers and a teardrop shaped crystal. This is Crystal City, Wombat fans.
A fancy blue lotus flower in this game offers a joint Wild and Scatter which simplifies getting the bonus feature under sail. This icon also substitutes for all other icons. You’ll only clap your eyes on this icon in the middle three reels though.
This game should appeal to a wide range of punters with its very accessible bet limits: you can start the reels spinning from as little as 10p all the way up to a meatier 12.50 per spin. There’s something for every kind of gambler here.
The biggie in this game has to be the Expanding Wild Re-spin which is activated by landing one or more of the blue lotus Scatters on the reels. When this happens, expect to cash in!
Niftily, the Lotus flowers land and expand (or should we say flower) to cover a whole reel and turn it Wild, as well as rewarding you with a handy re-spin. The Wild reels will stay locked in place while the remaining reels spin. And, just to add to this game’s attraction, this neat feature will give you up to three re-spins.
The Crystal Lotus slot took this wombat straight to my happy place, which means I could hit Auto Spin, have a cool long drink and make the very most of the game play. The slots’s look is on the smarter side, the atmosphere is cool while the expanding Wild re-spins are hot. Nice work Eyecon, a new slot classic.
Wombat score: 4 out of 5
Is there a bonus round on the Crystal Lotus slot?
Not in the traditional sense (ie land 3 scatters get free spins), but if you land one or more Lotus symbols, (they only appear on reels two, three and four), the symbol expands over the whole reel and is frozen in place while other the reels re-spin. You can get upto three re-spins. The Lotus symbol is wild and will stand in for all other symbols.
What other games are similar?
The obvious one is Starburst. Let’s just say that Eyecon have been “inspired” by that classic game. Mind you, they have done a good job on it.
