The wombat says: Lights, cameras, action! All the way from Tinseltown (well, Sweden) ELK Studios latest slot is based on a Hollywood film set, with all the glitz and glamour you’d expect from a blockbuster! It kind of reminds us of the Jack Hammer 2 slot, on the silver screen front anyway.
Slot fans go behind the scenes and are treated to the outtakes that Hollywood didn’t want you to see – complete with cheesy actors and Minion-style characters who make up the off-camera crew, and are your hosts with the mosts on the reels.
But hang on, why is it called Bloopers? A blooper is the moment caught on camera when a star makes a gaffe, misses a line, or generally makes themselves look like a right galah. Well done to Elk Studios for coming up with this wickedly original theme. We likey.
Same with the Magicious slot. Another example of a completely made up name. We don’t mind! Bring it on! We love a bit of glamour and you can fill yer boots with it in Bloopersland.
Bloopers slot is a 5 reel and ‘243 ways’ to win slot with the usual features, plus 12 bet levels and a maximum jackpot of £185,000. Your symbols on the Silver Screen are: A chiseled actor, a toothy actress dressed up to the nines like our favourite mermaid in the Ariana slot machine, a film reel, the clapperboard, some Walk Of Fame stars, your high card symbols (10 to Ace), and 5 Bloopers (more on them later).
Gameplay and pay outs are from left to right only. The betting range is from 0.25 minimum, to a mega flash 100.00 maximum (if you are a big spender).
There are 4 ways to autobet in Bloopers:
The Optimizer strategy adapts your bet to a certain percent of the total remaining balance.
The Leveller automatically increases the bet by 2x after you lose on 5 spins or more.
The Booster raises the bet 1x after a losing spin.
The Jumper raises the bet by 1x after a winning spin.
Check out the info in the advanced Autoplay settings.
Scatter Symbols and Free Spins
Keep your eyes peeled for the Bloopers Bonus Star. If you get 3 or more of these shiny Stars on the reels then it’s time for the Free Spins round!
If the Actor and Actress symbols land on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th reels, they will turn into Sticky Wilds. The game ends when one of reels is fully covered in Sticky Wilds.
These guys appear randomly during the game, and at least one of them will turn up on reels 3, 4 or 5 at the start of the bonus game. Each colourful character represents a backstage trade and has its own bonus feature.
Expect Expanding Wilds, Falling Symbols, Extra Free Spins, Symbol Shuffles and Random Wilds.
You may even see more than one Bloopers on the reels at the same time, which is when things really get interesting…
Mr Blue, the stunt man, will give you the Expanding Wilds, while film editor Mr Green will trigger falling symbols for you.
Then there’s Extra Free Spins courtesy of the Ms Pink the make-up Blooper, and some serious Symbol Shuffles from Mr Purple the on-set handyman.
Finally, Mr Yellow, the sound tech guy, will reward you handsomely with Random Wilds.
Mobile Bloopers Slot
Like most games from ELK Studios, this game looks fantastic on a mobile or a tablet. They have really nailed the design for smaller screens, love it!
A great game with an original theme. Plus, we love the music – it’s like sitting in the frot row at the Oscars! The 5 bonus features in the Free Spins can get a little complicated but play way and you’ll soon get the hang of it.
