Best Microgaming Studio Partners

by Lucy on 12-Oct-21

As you probably know, Microgaming have been serving us up top- notch slots since 1994. But, a few years ago they started to look a bit lacklustre. Their games were mostly low variance and clunky, and the visuals a little outdated. While competitors like NetEnt were going from strength to strength…

To shake themselves out of this IGaming funk, they partnered up with some of the world’s coolest independent game studios – and we’ll be jiggered if it hasn’t injected new life into these old slot dogs!

Nowadays they work with over 12 independent games makers, and here are a few of our favourites…

Gameburger Studios

Just like the all-American hamburger in their logo, this independent studio is based in US and brings big, tasty and original games to the market.

Formed in 2019, the studio had their first hit with Break da Bank Again Respin that revitalised an old Microgaming favourite, but it was the release of 9 Masks of Fire that really cemented their status as slot geniuses!

A runaway hit, this simple slot looks great and uses a scatter-pay side bonus to keep the base game play fresh and exciting. 9 Pots of Gold and Hyper Strike soon followed, as well as HyperGold and Break Da Bank Again Megaways.

With their combo of thrilling and well-balanced play, we can’t wait to see what they do next.

All41 Studios

Working exclusively with Microgaming since 2018, these enterprising Estonians already have built a big portfolio of slots.

They love to innovate and have brought the Wowpot progressive jackpot mechanic to the Microgaming platform, like in Book Of Atem where one UK player won £15,183,085.96 in April 2021! Other notable games include Forgotten Island Megaways and Lock A Luck with its re-spin reels.

With 20 games under their belt, they are still a small studio and Microgaming’s partners have yet to score a bona fide hit…

So let’s see what 2022 brings.

Neon Valley Studios

Making games straight out of Sin City itself, Neon Valley Studios produce epic games, with well crafted HD design and a creative take on familiar slot themes. In fact these guys make some of our favourite new slots; including Age of Conquest, Augustus and Queen Of Alexandria.

According to the blurb, they want to bring a part of Vegas (the home of gaming) to everyone! And so far, they are doing just that – concentrating on creating high-quality great-looking games, instead of churning out the same old slot formulas.

Bravo!

Triple Edge Studios

At ICE back in 2018, Microgaming showed off their collaboration with Triple Edge and drummed up a whole load of excitement. And the partnership has gone from strength to strength ever since.

In fact, pretty much all their games have turned into online slot hits such as Lara Croft Tombs And Temples, Adventures of Doubloon Island (with the innovative Hyperhold mechanic) and the Book Of Oz trilogy.

With the right balance of quantity and quality these guys are full steam ahead at the moment.

Just For The Win

Now here’s an interesting story…

Just For The Win were put together in 2016 after its two founders met at an airport! And the rest is history.

The Swedish-based games makers are best known for releasing highly volatile slots like Book Of King Arthur Odin’s Riches and our personal favourite, Serengeti Gold.

They have 40 games in their portfolio making them Microgaming’s most prolific and popular games partner to date – and this shows no sign of slowing down.
