Released by Alchemy Gaming, the 25000 Talons slot was released in 2022 and is proving popular with slot gamers. There is a lot to talk about with exciting jackpots on offer, including cash prizes and Free Spins.

I am not going to lie, talons make me nervous, but as long as they are safely tucked away in a video slot I think we’ll be just fine.

Set in the great wilderness of North America, the background imagery in use is very sharp with symbols of the wildlife that call this region home. The graphics are slicker than the Direct Hit slot which we have just played, that’s for sure.

25000 Talons Slot Design

The 15 space play grid is 5-reels wide and 3-rows high like the Golden Elixir slot, so pretty standard fare on that count. Spin the symbols in on each spin, and hopefully you will land them in an order that rewards a payout. The reels are set in front of a scenic view of the American wilderness with high mountains, green forests and crystal clear lakes visible. It reminds me of a mineral water ad.

The play grid takes up a large portion of the screen here, with the reels framed by a golden rectangle with subtle markings on either side. It’s all very tastefully done, much slicker than soem of the other games we have seen like the Gold Collector Diamond Edition slot, for instance.

To the left of the grid, you will see the high paying symbols of the 25000 Talons slot with their potential payouts. The 5-best paying symbols are arranged in order of value here, with their respective colours helping you to understand what you need to land combinations of.

Across the top of the screen, you will see the fixed jackpots on offer; the Mini, Minor, Major and Mega jackpots that offer some decent cash prizes to play. Especially the Mega of course. The Mini not so much.

Above the quick spin feature, you can set your bet level using the pile of coins symbol with a range between 0.10 and 20.oo per spin. In the top-right, are the audio settings and an icon to reveal the full game information like the paytable.

There are ten paylines on this 5-reel grid on which you will need to land winning combos from left to right to score a payout. The potential payouts on the left let you know what you could receive from a spin.

Symbols you will see in 25000 Talons, include the lower value J – A cards which pay out for combinations of 3 and 5 across a payline and reward the player up to 1.8x the stake.

Juicier returns can be hunted down with the animal symbols showcased to the left of the grid, such as the Cougar, Bison, Bear and Eagle.

These symbols can reward maximum payouts of between 1.8x and 25x the stake for five across a payline.

There is also a gold Scatter symbol and a ‘W’ Wild that bring bonus features into play, such as the Free Spins round.

25000 Talons Bonus Features

The Wild symbols in play can help to make up winning combinations by substituting for main game symbols. As well as the Wild symbol, there are multiple bonus features included in play. Let’s take a look.

You can randomly trigger the Fire Spin bonus feature that randomly chooses a symbol from the Fire Trail and stacks this symbol on reels 1 and 2. The Fire Spin feature creates a 3×3 symbol and the remaining 3-reels are then reserved for premium symbols and the Wild. The 3×3 symbol can also drop a wheel; if it does, a wheel spin bonus is triggered, offering 1 of the following jackpots:

– Mini – 20x the stake.
– Minor – 75x the stake.
– Major – 1,000x the stake.
– Mega – 25,000x the stake.

25000 Talons Free Spins

You will need to land 3 – 5 of the golden eagle Scatter symbols anywhere across the grid from a single spin to trigger the Free Spin feature. When this launches, you will get the choice of 3 bonus rounds:

– Cougar Bonus – my ears pricked up at the sound of that one. It rewards 8, 10 or 12 Free Spins with stacked cougar Fire Trail symbols on Reels 1 and 2.
– Bison Bonus – a beefy one this – 6, 8 or 10 Free Spins with stacked Bison Fire Trail symbols on Reels 1 and 2.
– Bear Bonus – Rewards 4, 6 or 8 Free Spins with stacked Bear Fire Trail symbols on Reels 1 and 2.

Each of the Free Spins plays out like the Fire Trail spins with stacked Fire Trail symbols in reels 1 and 2 and a 3×3 symbol taking up the rest of the grid.

This remains the case throughout the Free Spins, and you can land a talon 3×3 symbol during this feature. This symbol needs to land fully in view to activate and will reward an extra 4 Free Spins when it does. This will also upgrade the stacked symbols to the next highest tier, becoming Wild.

If stacked and sticky Wilds are in play, the Free Spins only relate to the level up symbol.
