Gorilla Go Wilder slot is set over three rows, five reels and twenty-five pay lines, so five more than that other toon game, the Two Fat Cats slot from Inspired Gaming. And this game is bang up to date, it looks great on any device.
When Gary spies a win he starts with backflips and gets animated. This big ole’ beast is no threat, however, with his happy-go-lucky ways. Watch out for his general enthusiasm, and a bit of smiling and nodding. Gary makes the ultimate unusual cheerleader!
At the lower end of the values are the Ten through to the Ace of a card deck. The big ticket icons will be familiar to those who played the original game. The most valuable icon is a Gary on a golden coin, followed by a monkey, a toucan and a skunk.

Sea Shell Re-Spins
Who sells sea shells on the seashore? Gary- that’s who. NextGen wants you to love their new chapter for Gary the Gorilla and so to keep you spinning, there’s a rewarding Sea Shell Re-Spins feature.
At random after any base game win you can be given a re-spin and, better still, any shells that land with re-trigger a spin. Those freebie spins can keep on coming until you stop landing shell icons or the reels become full of those beauties. And each shell will reward you with a cash prize.
Bonus Island Feature
Prepare yourself for the big one… just land three or more bonus icons on the reels and gain access to Gary’s secret archipelago of islands, bursting with cash-rich goodies. I can’t resist a touch of island hopping myself- I look the business in a Hawaiian shirt and thongs!
Initially expect access to four of the rewarding islands. And better still, each Bonus Scatter icon you land delivers you cash prizes too. Three, four or five scatters will trigger wins of 4.16x, 8.33x, and 83.33x your wager.
You’ll be “quids in” before you’ve even started the bonus play.
In total, Gary has stashed away eight islands and each brings rewards like multipliers or modifiers.
What’s smart, and satisfying about this game is that as you get further into gameplay you manage to unlock more and more islands. It’s the number of multiplier visits to the bonus round which will open up access to the more valuable islands.
You will have needed to activate the bonus mode six times before you’re allowed to get yourself into the most lucrative islands, six to eight. The upper RTP of this game only reaches the heady heights of 97.04% when you gain access to island eight.
Each time you access one of the bonus islands you get ten Free Spins. Not bad but each island location offers you a little extra too.
Tiki Bar can be triggered on first entering the bonus island mode. This modifier starts with the free spins and the icons’ value is inflated nicely during this mode, thanks to the Power Pay Table. Oh yes, and you can re-trigger the spins. Bonza!
Crystal Cave comes into play after four triggers of the Bonus mode. This modifier comes with ten Free Spins plus a Mystery icon which lands transforming into any of the icons to help make a win (except the Scatter).
Green Jungle is only activated after seven bonus triggers. This location comes with the usual free spins and Expanding Wilds which are always welcome!
The Big Ones
And with ten triggers of the bonus, you’ll come to the Waterfall (great for a quick dip). This is a tasty treat with all icons (except the Scatter) transforming into Expanding Wilds during those spins.
The Volcano boosts your pay-table and gifts you those ten free spins, after fifteen triggers.
Don’t be afraid of the Spooky Jungle. This baby comes into play after twenty triggers and makes some symbols turn Wild.
The epic Purple Jungle location is very rewarding and is yours after twenty-five triggers. Here you will gain a duo of Wondering Wilds which pitch up and make you a buck. Wild wins are pretty handy too giving you a big 10x multiplier. Got to love the island life!
The outright mega modifier is the Sunset Beach location. This picture-perfect location loads up if you trigger the bonus thirty times. When this occurs, a special area is marked out on the reels.
When the reels spin, any wins inside this special space give you 25 times your wager wins. Kerching!
Gary’s Gift
This gorilla is a geezer. If at any point during play, he clicks those massive fingers, he can award you a gift. That blue buddy can transport you with his magic monkey ways into the Bonus Island feature. That’s one nifty shortcut.

It’s often the case that a sequel to a hit can be a flop, but in Gorilla Goes Wilder, this is not true. This slot game is packed with extras: I had to have two lunches to take advantage.
