Ah, France. I’m a pretty famous marsupial over there if I don’t say so myself. Although they don’t call me ‘the Wombat’. They call me ‘le Wombat’.

The major difference is in the Dozens bet which is off to the side of the numbers rather than directly underneath them. So the first dozen is called P12 (Premier 12), the middle is M12 (Midi 12) and the last is D12 (Dernier 12).

La Partage on French Roulette

The final (and best) thing we need to discuss about French Roulette, is La Partage. Now, I know this sounds like a small fat grey bird, but it is in fact a rule that is played in French Roulette that is very advantageous to the player. Vive la France!

This special rule, which literally means “sharing”, is a rule that is applied when you bet on an even money bet like red or black and the ball lands on zero.

Now, normally you would lose your bet of course. But on French Roulette tables that play La Partage, you only lose half of your bet. The rest is returned to you. Fantastique! That gives a Return to Player of 98.65% which is comparable to some blackjack games. Quite simply, this game has the best roulette odds in the house, which is why it is popular with High Rollers and VIPs making big bets.
