The Wombat says: It’s reel-on-reel action here in the Fishin’ Frenzy slot in this angling-themed game brought to us from Blueprint Gaming.

Will you be bringing home the Catch of The Day or will you pick up nothing more than an old welly boot? With bright colours that remind me of the Gorilla Go Wilder slot, this is a real feel-good game.

I quite like fishing, but I tend to eat all of the live bait.

Let’s cast off our rods and find out a little bit more about this game, shall we? Test it out if you like, register at Wombat Casino and play our Fishin´ Frenzy slot free play demo.

Look and Feel

The deep blue sea makes up the backdrop to the reels, and all of the cartoon graphics are simple but done quite well, we particularly like how even the playing card symbols have a fishy twist to each of them.

Fishin’ Frenzy has more colour than the Basketball Star slot and Starburst mashed together, so wear your sunglasses!

Sadly the soundtrack isn’t as anywhere near as relaxing. We recommend playing with the sound down…

Fishin’ Frenzy Slot Game Play

Fishin’ Frenzy slot game has five reels, three rows and ten pay-lines. All pretty standard stuff when you compare it to online casino games like the Sidewinder slot and Fortunium, but it does the traditional gameplay very well.

How to Play
Bets start at 0.01 per spin, while the maximum bet is 10.00 per spin. Your symbols on the reels are all theme-related and include the lifebuoys, fishing tackle boxes, fishing reels, fish of various sizes, and a seagull. The lower value symbols in the game are made up of your standard playing card symbols 10, J, Q, K & A.

The most lucrative symbol is the seagull icon, and landing 5x of these on a pay-line will scoop you with a rather generous 2,000x your coin size.

Pay Table

The icon of the guy fishing will act as the wild symbol in the game and will do the usual job of substituting for all the other icons to form extra winning combos – all except for the scatter symbol which is the boat that looks like that ill-fated ship from Jaws!

Free Spins and Bonus Features

You’ll be pleased to hear, that the Fishin’ Frenzy slot has a pretty lucrative Free Spins round. Simply play and land 3x or more of the fishing boat Scatters anywhere on the reels and you’ll set it off.

The number of Free Spins you start the round depends on how many scatters you got in the first place to trigger it, so: three Scatters = ten Free Spins, four Scatters = fifteen Free Spins, five Scatters = twenty Free Spins.

During the Fishin’ Frenzy Free Spins games, extra icons are also added to the reels! Now and then, a fisherman wild will appear on the reels and catch the fish that have price tags on them – their combined total is added to your coffers!

Up to two Wilds can appear on the reels, meaning you could win double.

Our advice? Catch as much fish as you can before those pesky seagulls get them!

Gamble Feature

fishin' frenzy fish symbolOur Fishin’ Frenzy online slot game also has a gamble feature, so if you’re feeling extra lucky or just fancy another punt, then give it a go.

All you’ll need to do is correctly guess the colour of the next playing card that will be turned over. Get it right and you’ll double your winnings, but get it wrong you will lose the lot.

Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways Version

The new  Fishin’ Frenzy Megaways slot is a nice addition to the range of this ever-popular game.

Blueprint Gaming has sorted your catfish from your salmon in a turbo-powered game that offers up. 15,625 ways to win.

For those who aren’t familiar with the delights of a Megaways slot game, I’ll fill you in. The Megaways mechanic offers up an ever-changing arrangement of icons on reels, as the size of the symbols changes with each spin, to make multiple ways to win.

The Fishin´ Frenzy Megaways slot can serve up a tasty catch over 6 reels which can be between 2 to 5 rows high and an appetite-increasing 15,625 ways to win!

A heron is the hottest ticket on the icon’s board. And it’s the fisherman’s equipment that dominates the icons with a fishing reel, life ring and tackle box making the high-value icons. Also, there are a series of fish symbols with cash values- you can catch these later on for bigger wins.

The hat-wearing dude at the centre of this game, the fisherman, is the Wild. And, the game’s chilled-out Scatter is the fishing boat heading out at sunset.

Power 4 Slots

Fishin Frenzy Power 4 SlotsThis is another variant of the popular slot in which Blueprint has loaded up four independent 5×3 reel sets, each with ten ways to win that you can play simultaneously. A quadrupled reel set, with a top win of 20,000x your stake.

The original remains the best in my opinion, but the Power 4 Slots version is worth a spin to see what all of the fuss is about. The volatility on this version is medium to high and this game was launched in September 2020.

Fishin’ Frenzy Power 4 Slot is not available to players from the UK. Sorry about that chaps!

Conclusion

fishin' frenzy seagull symbolFishin’ Frenzy slot is a good little game – so it’s a high five to Blueprint Gaming from us here at Wombat Towers. The Free Spins round can be lucrative with those extra fish wins, and we like the simple but elegant gameplay.

And, Blueprint Gaming has added some turbo juice fire to their classic game with a big slice of gaming Megaways fun: a cracking addition to the Megaways range and a fishing theme that had us hooked!

Get spinning and see what you can reel in! You can play the Fishin’ Frenzy demo at Wombat Casino once you register.
