Cash Clams
Cash Clams
The wombat says: Pray tell, what do we think this little slot might be about Wombat fans? Could it be an underwater theme with the promise of bags and bags of cash? Why yes, it most certainly is!
As such, the graphics are rather basic being a sea theme mixed in with gold coins and bank notes. It’s a bit on the ugly side when we compare it to the likes of the 7Up slot, but as a seriously ancient Microgaming slot, so what do you expect?
Let’s grab our snorkels and dive in. Hopefully we’ll uncover a pearl or 2…
Game Play
Cash Clams is a pretty straight forward, and with 3 reels and a single pay line slot – it’s as basic as they come. Compare it to Elk Studio’s Hidden slot and you will see what we mean! It also comes in five coin sizes and has a two coin max bet. As the name suggests, Cash Clams has an undersea theme which means your symbols on the reels are made up of clam and crab marine life plus 6 other symbols; the lucky 7s and your traditional fruity three bar types – the single, the double and the triple.
These 3 reelers (the Cash Crazy slot is another) do what they say on the tin, so keep your eyes peeled for the Cash Clam symbol as it’s this the bad boy that’s going to bring home the bacon in this slot, by acting as your wild multiplier. This means that not only does it substitute for all the other symbols in the game to complete more winning combinations for you, but it will also multiply any winning payout that the cheeky symbol has helped complete. So, if you land 1x wild icon as part of a winning combo your win is doubled, but if you’re lucky enough to get 2x wilds you’ll scoop a x4 multiplier… Happy days!
The Payouts
Land 1x or 2x of the crab icons and you’ll be rewarded with a payout of either 2 or 4 coins, or 3 or 6 coins, depending on whether you bet 1 or 2 coins on that spin in the first place.
And take note Wombat fans; your bet amount is important as it dictates the rest of the game payouts too. 3x the bars will result in payouts of either 5 or 10 coins, whilst any 3x crabs pay out 10 or 20 coins depending on that wager. These 1 or 2 coin stakes will also mean the difference between winning 15 or 30 coins, 30 or 60 coins, 50 or 100 coins or 100 or 200 coins, for 3 single bars, 3 double bars, 3 triple bars or three golden 7s respectively.
All in all, if in doubt (and your wallet allows) it makes sense to go big!
Cash Clam Jackpot
To bag the top prize of 5,000 coins you’ll need to land 3x of the Wild Clam symbols on the pay line. And this is where playing in max bet mode will really pay off, as betting one extra coin will earn you 2.5x the jackpot. Sweet!
Conclusion
Ok slot fans, we know that this game isn’t much of a looker, in fact it resembles the kind of old school slot you could find at your local boozer. And yes, there are more features on your average remote control nowadays than you’ll find in Cash Clam slot – but the thing is not every slot fan needs the bells and whistles of 2017’s games! Give it a go and the world could be your oyster…
